From being taken by the Davis family after his dad tragically passed away to becoming an international humanitarian leader, he has had the opportunity to ensure tens of millions around the world receive the same compassion and help he received as a child. REACHING UKRAINE FOR JESUS
According to data collected by the United Nations, up to 8.8 million refugees have fled Ukraine while an additional 6.3 million people are still displaced within the country. CityServe Europe has mobilized over 6,700 churches to serve over 400,000 refugees through 40 safe houses within Ukraine and over 100 safe houses located in bordering countries. CityServe safe houses provide food, shelter, hygiene items, diapers and other necessities for the flow constant flow of refugees. 2+ million meals have been shipped overseas in order to serve over 101,000 hot meals every single day.
long-term strategy
Long after the headlines change, there will still be a need in Ukraine to build, heal, and restore what has been lost in the war. The local church will be there after everyone else leaves and that is why it’s God’s greatest strategy for community restoration. CityServe has had the honor of hosting retreats for pastors serving in Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, and Romania to bring encouragement, financial gifts, and emotional & spiritual support—combatting the compassion fatigue that can so easily set in.
